Cookies and Quesadillas

The first fundraiser was a great success. The girls held a cookie and quesadilla sale in Baldwin on campus the past two thursdays and made about $200! It was such a clever idea, and all the proceeds are going towards Relay for Life.

Next up will be a fundraiser during the philanthropy - they will be selling glow in the dark temporary tattoos. They will be sold at our camp area. More details to come!

There is still time for donations to Relay for Life. Please visit our team site and help us reach our goal. And if you are in the Cincinnati area, please stop by our camp area and show your support. Mark your calendar, the event is April 29 all evening! Thanks for your help in our fight against cancer.

Social Event at the Cincinnati Zoo

The alpha class social event has been scheduled! The girls will be spending the afternoon at the Cincinnati Zoo, and of course getting a chance to see the penguins. They are going on Sunday, May 1 around noon.

Check out these adorable photographs of the baby penguins at the zoo!

We are asking for some help to cover the price of passes, so if you happen to have a half-price pass or other discounts that you would be willing to donate, please let us know. It would be much appreciated.

See what's going on at the zoo here.

Last Saturday, the girls were locked in at my house and spent the time together working on their scrapbooks. They made a lot of progress and had fun socializing with their sisters.

Many penguin pages were made

Relay for Life!

The alpha class philanthropy project is Relay for Life at the University of Cincinnati, April 29-30. Relay for Life is hosted by the American Cancer Society and is a day long event to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against the disease that has caused too much pain for far too long.

The girls are very excited about the event and are working towards fundraising $1,000. We would love support from alumnae and actives who would like to donate. If you can only give $5, it will help a wonderful cause!  A link to our team page is below.  If you have been affected by cancer, you can also choose to donate a Luminaria ($10) in honor or memory of your loved one.  If you are in the Cincinnati area and would like to join us, we would love to have you on our team!!  Please check it out through the link below!

Please support us in my efforts by visiting my our team page to make a donation using the link at the bottom of this message. Every donation really does make a difference in advancing the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving work. We understand what it is like to have a limited budget, but any amount, large or small, will help save lives.
Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to keeping you updated on our progress.

I'm pleased to announce that the alpha class has finally been inducted! Congratulations girls, I couldn't be more excited for you as you begin your journey as new members. Thanks to all the actives and alumnae who came. We appreciated the support.

There are 12 members in varying majors and years. They are very enthusiastic about Phi Sigma Rho and look forward to learning more about the sorority. Every week I will feature a new member profile and will release updates on their activities to keep alumnae involved.
